Big Dog Motorcycles of Columbus (formerly Easyriders of Columbus) first opened its doors in January 1994 at our current 28,000 square foot facility at 611 East Broad Street. Over the years, we have established a solid reputation for distinctive production custom motorcycles and quality customer service. In bringing to life our vision of a full service motorcycle store, our facility houses an expansive showroom, fully equipped service department, an extensive parts and accessories department, complete apparel department, a lunch and dinner cafe, and an evening jazz lounge.

Big Dog Motorcycles of Columbus is geared to the motorcycle aficionado. Our vision is to offer production built custom motorcycles from the best designers and builders in the business. As an established company, our buying power allows us to get the best prices from our suppliers and pass these savings on to enthusiasts who share our passion for motorcycles. We never offer just another bike or bikes that share a category. Rather, with a variety of exclusive designs, our motorcycles are in a world entirely their own. Custom bikes that are precisely that.
OUR STORY
In 1959 Joe Teresi took off for California on a 1950 BSA motorcycle to pursue a career as a professional drag racer. His love for motorcycles ultimately steered him down an entirely different road that led to his starting the Agoura Hills, California based Easyriders Franchising Inc. to provide gear and parts for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and other custom-made bikes.
In 1970, Joe founded Paisano Publications and launched Easyriders magazine geared toward enthusiasts of American made motorcycles. The magazine established new standards by providing a wealth of information for the motorcycle lifestyle, including clothing lines, accessories and videos. Joe opened Easyriders of Columbus in June of 1994. Easyriders of Columbus was one of several franchises that became part of the national brand name in aftermarket parts in the motorcycle industry.
Our name change in 2003 to Big Dog Motorcycles of Columbus helps us better represent our product line and creates a distinct identity from the magazine. Nevertheless, we maintain the same traditions we have had from the beginning, and specialize in custom upscale motorcycles that come with all the chrome, paint and engine options enjoyed by enthusiasts. The motorcycles we carry and the services we offer collectively reflect our dedication to serving the independent, free-spirited motorcyclist whomever he or she may be.
We appreciate the fact that our past success and market leadership position has plenty to do with the family and fun philosophy we still embrace. The group rides, weekend events, photos with Santa, Biker Birthday Bashes, demo rides, special sales, and other events on our calendar continue to grow in popularity. It takes creating such a community to be a premier custom motorcycle dealer in our market.
